Work Experience
• A minimum of 5yrs. Working as a HSSE Support in an oil and gas producing field. Oil and gas industry experience will be an added advantage.
Skills (Added Advantage)
• Knowledge in in ISO 14001 surveillance and audits
• Proficiency in Microsoft desktop office suites (power point, excel, word and outlook.
• A Knowledge of recognized electronic Document Management System will be an added advantage.
• Awareness of Permit Vision, SharePoint, UTL, Spheral Cloud, SONAR, EDW Software will be an added advantage.

• Onsite Hazards identification and Risk assessment capability.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Good Communication skills and good organizational abilities.

• E-vision tool for electronic deployment of Permit-to Work

Roles and Responsibilities
HSSE Support:
• Plan and Implement Safety training programs
• Manage HSE training dashboard to ensure compliance
• Identify training gaps and monitor / track personnel HSE competence
• Schedule personnel for HSE training and re-training of expired competence
• Carryout audit / survey to ensure sustained improvement in training technique / compliance
• Plan and Implement programs including audits, drills, inspections meetings
• Carry out daily, weekly and monthly trending of HSE updates
• Carry out pre-start up audit, equipment pre-mobilization and induction of contractor personnel prior to mobilization to site
• Organize and participate in investigation and follow-up of incidents, including development of remedial action plans Share safety-related Lessons Learned between sites and outside organization
• Monitor HSE compliance of activities on site to identify hazards, unsafe workplace conditions and work practices
• Work closely with Contractor to establish plans that meet Project requirements and follow through with management team and Contractor to ensure effective implementation.
• Advice production Operations team on HSE critical issues
• Participate in development of Contract Risk Assessment and enforcement PTW effectiveness
• Guide / support Contractor to assure implementation of Project Site Safety and Health Plan and appropriate compliance monitoring
• Carry out high risk contractors HSE Capability Assessment
Work Cycle
• The work location is a Swamp based (Nun River and Diebu Creek PU, Bayelsa) accessible via Air.
• The job activity period is daily on 12-hour (7am to7pm) routine over a 21-day period.
• There is a standard 3weeks on and 3weeks off schedule.
• The successful candidate will manage own absences with his/her contractor for suitable qualified covers.
• There may be need for periodic visits to Shell industrial area for trainings and official assignments.
• Personnel may be required to work extended hours as need may arise.
